A Tarpon Field Study
Few fish inspire the imagination quite like the tarpon.
Known as the Silver King, the Atlantic tarpon is celebrated for its immense size, brilliant silver scales, and unforgettable leaps when hooked. For generations, tarpon have drawn anglers to warm coastal waters throughout the Atlantic, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean.
This watercolor study captures the character of one of saltwater fishing's most revered species—the sweeping profile, reflective scales, and quiet power that make the tarpon unmistakable.
Created as part of the Deanna Designs Field Notes, this piece is equal parts natural-history study and love letter to the waters that have made the tarpon an enduring icon of coastal fishing.
Each limited-edition print is reproduced from the original watercolor artwork on archival cotton rag paper and is signed and numbered by the artist.
